1. This semester I had to drop an easy class because I didn't do so well on the first exam and then I forgot the date for the second exam and unfortunately missed the test. Clearly, I had to drop the class because my grade was plummeting.
2. I learned that I need to be more studios and more organized about dates. Also, I need to apply more emphasis on easier classes even though I don't take them very seriously.
3) My failure was clearly embarrassing because it was an easy class that I had to use one of my drops for. Also, it's upsetting because we only have so many drops per 60 credits. Emotionally, it's hard to deal with but I eventually got over it. Behaviorally, I try to change my ways and prevent the same failure. I've learned so much about that experience and it made me more diligent and cautious.
N Azani,
ReplyDeleteIt may be super embarraasing but many of us have done it. My freshman year, I missed a final exam because I wrote it down on the wrong day in my planner and it was the worst feeling in the world. Luckily we had some hefty extra credit so I still passed and didn't have to drop but I learned some pretty important skills after that and I am sure you did too! http://kailadevin.blogspot.com/2016/04/celebrating-failure.html
Hi Azani!
ReplyDeleteDon't be embarrassed, that happens to a lot of us. I have had to drop a basic economics class that all of my friends passed easily, so you're not alone. This class definitely showed me I have to be on top of my schedule better too. So many assignments due constantly made me more aware of those things.Unfortunately I did not complete this assignment but I loved reading your post. Great job.

I feel you on dropping econ Andrea.... same here :(
DeleteHey Azani!
ReplyDeleteWe've all been there, wether it was dropping a class or failing hard on a final exam you truly studied for and poured your heart over. Worst than a break up. I've had my fair share of dropping class and it is embarrassing but it's all about how you react to all this. It's great you thought about what could have distracted you or impeded you from getting a good grade! Check out my blog: https://vincityblog.wordpress.com/
